Invoking Love & Clarity: The I Ching

A client story from Vicki Rose about intuitive confirmation, second opinions and keeping an open heart and mind during a reading.

Important: This personal story is not medical advice. Consult qualified health professionals for diagnosis, treatment and second opinions.

The rose and the heart are symbols of growth, joy, depth of love and connection, sincerity, empathy and natural beauty. Along with integrity and accuracy, I try to bring these qualities into every consultation.

Several years ago, a retired schoolteacher and fine artist came to see me in Albuquerque for a reading after shoulder surgery. She was still experiencing significant discomfort well beyond the expected recovery period. Her surgeon had recommended another operation, but she felt uneasy and wanted to explore what information might arise in a reading.

Using the I Ching primarily, with cards as a secondary tool, the reading strongly advised caution about another surgery. She was pleased with the reading and told me she would soon travel back to the East Coast, where she had an appointment with a longtime physician.

After that appointment, she called excitedly. The doctor did not recommend another operation and instead suggested other treatments and therapies, which she later reported had worked well for her.

Sometimes a reading brings new information. Sometimes it confirms a feeling the client already has.

Each person and every session is different. My role is to keep my heart and mind open to the information that comes through, while the client remains responsible for seeking appropriate professional advice and making the final decision.
